Come to elevation652 farm and let our breath-taking views and warm hospitality welcome you into a world away from the ordinary. Explore the orchards and olive grove and meet our chooks, pigmy goats, Shetland Donkeys, horses and most likely our resident cat, Simba, then stop for a peaceful moment at the fountain or stroll through our vineyards before sipping a glass of Redbank’s finest wine. Leave the city behind and venture north through Victoria’s picturesque countryside toward the rolling hills of the King Valley. Your journey to Elevation652 Farm is not just a drive, it’s the beginning of your relaxing escape to one of Australia’s highest vineyard retreats.

Route Overview

You’ll travel north along the Hume Highway, pass through Benalla, and weave your way into the serene valley of Myrrhee. Elevation652 Farm is at the very top of Mt Bellevue.

Directions

1) Head north on the Hume Highway (M31) from Melbourne.
2) Take the exit for Benalla / Mansfield and follow signs into Benalla town centre.
3) In Benalla, turn right at KFC onto Coster Street (C517).
4) At the first roundabout, go straight onto Kilfeera Road.
5) Enjoy a peaceful drive through open farmland for about 25 km.
6) Vier right onto Benalla–Whitfield Road (note: this turn is subtle, drive carefully).
7) Continue for approximately 17 km, passing through scenic countryside.
8) Just after Myrrhee Primary School, turn left onto Bella Vista Road.

Property Directions

After turning left onto Bella Vista Road, You’ll see letterboxes on your right, continue driving another 3 kilometres, and be sure to admire the views to your right as you begin your climb up the mountain.

Drive past the concealed driveway on your left. A little further and you will notice our neighbours on your right with a sign for Mt Bellevue Accommodation, continue straight ahead passing the rock wall and continue climbing another 100 meter in altitude for just over 1 kilometre to reach the Summit of Mt Bellevue, to our security entrance gate.

You will pass our vineyards on your right as you arrive at the Private Property sign and the Elevation652 security electric monitored gate. Enter your code. You’ll now be driving through one of our vineyards, with Prosecco on your left and Fiano on your right. Continue past the aviation tower on your left, and drive over the cattle grid with rock walls on either side. Make sure you take in the magical views from the very top of Mt Bellevue.

As you continue, you’ll notice a sign on your left to the Sunset Lookout and one on your right to the Sunrise Lookout. Stay on the main track marked CARS. As you descend, you’ll see the main homestead on your left with the tennis court and a large dam featuring a water fountain. After crossing the next cattle grid, you’ll see signs directing you to park for the Lakehouse and Garden House or to continue straight ahead for the Cattleman’s. Then, simply follow the signs to your accommodation and enjoy a warm welcome from the team at Elevation 652 Farm.

Approximate Travel Time

1) From Melbourne: ~3 hours (depending on traffic and stops)
2) Plan a stop in Benalla if you’d like to stretch your legs, grab refreshments, or top up on supplies or fuel as it’s the last major town before Myrrhee.

Tips for the Road

1) Some turns are subtle, especially the right turn onto the Benalla-Whitfield Road so take care not to miss it.
2) The final stretch up Bella Vista Road is rural and winding, so drive slowly and watch for wildlife, especially at dawn or dusk.

Route Overview

You’ll travel the Hume Highway south into Victoria, pass through the charming regional town of Wangaratta, then wind your way through the tranquil King Valley and up to Mt Bellevue.

Directions

1) Take the Hume Highway south from Sydney and follow signs toward Wangaratta.
2) Exit at C314 (Bowser Road) — this will lead you directly into Wangaratta.
3) Bowser Road becomes Parfitt Road, then Murphy Street.
4) Before crossing the Ovens River, you’ll spot a Coles Express on your right — a great last stop for fuel or snacks.
5) Cross the Ovens River Bridge and go straight through the roundabout (second exit).
6) Continue through the next traffic lights — Zambrero’s is on your left (good for a bite if you’re peckish).
7) At the next roundabout, go straight, then turn left onto Warby Street at the next set of lights.
8) Warby Street becomes Murdoch Road, which transitions into Wangaratta–Whitfield Road.
9) Follow this beautiful rural road for about 27 km until you reach Moyhu.
10) In the centre of Moyhu, just opposite the Primary School, turn right onto Boggy Creek Road.
11) Enjoy the scenic drive on Boggy Creek Road for about 18 km, surrounded by countryside and vineyards.
12) Shortly before reaching Myrrhee Primary School, turn right onto Bella Vista Road.
